Lily & Tim: Portland, Oregon Elopement in Washington Park

Washington Park Wedding_Sentiero Photography-43.jpg

When Lily & Tim began planning their special day, they knew they wanted a small, intimate Portland Elopement. They picked a spot in Washington Park, where they could have their ceremony on a beautiful stairway covered in leaves, ferns, and moss with a backdrop of northwest greenery. They asked their mothers and two best friends to witness their Portland Elopement, and of course their sweet dog Leo. The couple exchanged vows they each had written, sharing memories of how they met and their time together.  After the ceremony, Lily and Tim joined their family and friends for a brunch in downtown Portland.

It was such a treat to photograph this lovely Washington Park Elopement! Congrats to the happy couple!

Suvi and Jeanot: Bridal Veil Lakes Wedding

Surrounded by close friends and family on a beautiful day in the PNW, Suvi and Jeanot celebrated their love in a quiet and simple way incorporating things that they love. There was her love of dance, his love of music, their heritages, but most importantly their commitment to one another. I very much enjoyed documenting this lovely wedding.

Shay and Chris: Camp Lane Oregon Wedding

Shay was surprised with Chris proposed to her over a year ago but then again she knew that they would one day get married. In fact, Shay shared with us that she told him so before their first date!
For their wedding, they just wanted everyone to have fun and the best way they could think to do this was to not tell their guests they were getting married. Everyone would be invited to a summer camp for a weekend in Oregon full of games, fires, and camp activities. So for a year Shay and Chris kept their engagement secret, welcomed a baby boy to the world, and planned their low key wedding. On wedding day the guests knew something was going on, but the rumor was Chris was going to propose once Shay returned from picking up a close friend at the airport. Really, Shay was secretly getting ready in an employee only room at the camp.         Everyone made their way through the fields to where Chris would propose and guests believed that the cameras were just there to capture the proposal. While the guests and Chris were waiting for Shay, a slurry of activity was happening on the other side of the camp to set up the reception and dinner. Of course, once Shay appeared in her wedding dress everyone realized what was happening. There was excitement and tears during the ceremony, but most of all everyone was relaxed and celebrated with the couple well into the evening.

Congrats Shay and Chris!
