Kate & Tim officially started dating on New Year's Day a few years ago, so the holiday held significance for them as a couple. As they planned their Winter Wedding, they knew they wanted to say "I do" on the start of the new year with their closest friends and family in attendance. When you plan a Portland, Oregon Winter Wedding, backup plans in case of rain (or snow) are always needed. But we couldn't have been more lucky to have the most gorgeous winter light.
Kate & Tim chose the Oaks Pioneer Church for their ceremony, with it's picturesque stained glass windows, rustic wood walls, and historic charm. They each wrote the most heartfelt vows, creating moments of laughter and happy tears for their guests. After the Oaks Pioneer Church Ceremony, they joined their family and friends for an evening of delicious food, toasts, and dancing at the Oaks Pioneer Dance Pavilion nearby. Kate's father designed and built a custom chuppah adorned with twinkle lights, and different family and friends helped with reception decor that included purple balloons, florals, custom ceramic candle holders, and many personal touches that represented Kate & Tim's love story.
This Oaks Pioneer Church Wedding was such a treat to capture and a wonderful way to welcome in 2018 - congrats to Kate & Tim!
